The BALCS Soft Armor Carrier: A medium-weight undervest for law-enforcement, military and private applications.

Design

The BALCS cut covers the torso extensively and all around without restricting freedom of movement. It offers increased protection against the most common handgun calibers and fragments. The vest can be worn concealed under clothing or over clothing. The combination with a plate carrier is also possible without any problems. Velcro surfaces on the front and back allow patches to be attached (front: 5x10cm / back: 10x21cm for size S, 10x25cm for sizes M, L and XL).

It is also available in four different sizes for an optimal fit. The correct size for the user is determined using the BALCS Soft Armor inlay (Ballistic insert sold separately and not included, insert size M fits Carrier size M etc.). The BALCS Soft Armor Carrier has an elastic hip belt and adjustable shoulder straps for fine adjustment.


Materials

A durable and comfortable to wear 50/50 nylon-cotton blend Multicam RipStop fabric is used for the outer shell. The fabric features a textile-engineered near infrared (nIR) treatment to reduce the visual signature when viewed through modern military night vision goggles. Inside there is a light spacer mesh fabric from US production. Original Velcro complete the range of high-quality materials. Gently washable at 30°C, do not bleach, do not iron.
